Artists Igor Kozlovsky and Marina Sharapova studied at the Mukhina Academy of Art and Design in Saint Petersburg and work together as a married couple. Igor has a subtle sense of colour and an appreciation for the tactile nature of paint, canvas and wood, as well as an intuitive feel for how to play with abstract images. Marina, using realistic drawing, creates new images based on the masters of the Italian and Dutch renaissance. They have had two-person shows in Russia, France and, many times, in the USA, and have participated in group shows in the USA, in the UK, in Singapore, Hong Kong and France. They have received awards from both the Adolph and Esther Foundation and The Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
