Before he hired Mike Garson, David Bowie wanted to hire Annette Peacock. (She refused.) Peacock is an American composer, musician, songwriter, producer and arranger. During the '70s and '80s, she worked with Karlheinz Stockhausen, Allan Holdsworth, Evan Parker, Brian Eno, Bill Bruford, Mike Garson and Mick Ronson before moving back to the U.S. Her album I'm the One, loved by both Bowie and Ronson, is a great place to start.
