Rooftop poem
This poem is a rooftop;
a horizon line
in a horizonless dawn.
You sigh
like a cat
into the night.
The flowers at your window
bring messages
of the hope that is in silence.
Francisc Balogh is a Romanian poet who has also been published in France and Germany, most prominently in the Vort Vergessen anthology (2020) and the lettres capitales blog. He has also been published in Litterateur Rw magazine in India and won first prize in the international poetry competition L'Olimpiade Mondiaux Poesie in 2020.
